DESCRIPTION

Vintage Hand-Knotted Silk Oushak-Style Area Rug in Ivory, Rust & Pale Blue

 

A beautifully aged hand-knotted silk rug with an elegant Oushak-inspired allover floral pattern and a wonderfully softened palette of warm ivory, pale gold, faded rust, muted coral, and powder blue.

The field is filled with stylized palmettes, floral sprays, rosettes, and scrolling botanical forms arranged with the relaxed scale and rhythm associated with classic Anatolian Oushak designs. A broad decorative border in pale blue and warm terracotta tones frames the composition beautifully.

The silk gives the surface a subtle luminosity, allowing the color to shift depending on the direction of the light. Its softened tones and visible patina give the rug the collected quality designers look for—rich in character without feeling overly formal.
