Pair Vintage Louis XVI Style Figural Three-Light Wall Sconces
An extraordinary pair of vintage wall sconces with elaborate French neoclassical detailing and a wonderfully theatrical presence. Each sconce features a sculptural figural body in contrasting dark and gilt finishes, surrounded by ornate architectural elements, scrolling arms, ribbon and tassel motifs, and decorative finials.
Three gracefully curved arms extend from each fixture, terminating in frosted glass flower-form shades that soften the grandeur of the gilt framework. The combination of figurative sculpture, floral glass, and richly ornamented metalwork gives the pair an unmistakably romantic Old World quality.
