Mid Century Illustration by Aliyah Rivera
Aliyah Rivera, a 20-year-old Latina artist and student at the renowned ArtCenter College of Design, is on a mission to revive the artistry of a bygone era. Inspired by 20th-century masters like Bob Peak and Bernie Fuchs, she channels the timeless beauty of mid-century art and advertising into her work. Through her mastery of traditional mediums—gouache, watercolor, ink, and pencil—Aliyah creates vivid still-life compositions and Palm Springs-inspired scenes that evoke nostalgia and warmth. Driven by a passion to preserve lost techniques, she strives to keep the soul of vintage illustration alive, proving that classic artistry can inspire a modern world.
