Rare Vintage 1952 Columbia Five Star Superb Green & White Bicycle
An incredible original 1951 Columbia Five Star Superb, one of the standout American balloon-tire bicycles of the postwar era.
The Five Star Superb was positioned at the top of Columbia’s lineup, combining the exaggerated styling of an early-1950s motorbike-inspired cruiser with elaborate equipment and detailing. This example has a fantastic green-and-cream color combination with a springer-style front end, tank-style frame detail, full fenders, rear rack, chrome accents, and classic sprung saddle.
Its wonderfully theatrical silhouette is exactly what makes these early Columbia cruisers so collectible today. The bike feels part transportation, part Americana sculpture—equally incredible displayed in a loft, shop, game room, garage, or added to a serious vintage bicycle collection.
Decorative flags and fur accessories shown add to its wonderfully eccentric personality.
