Seccose Metra Glass Dining Table by Makio Hasuike with 6 Chairs
At the center of this Italian dining set is the Metra table designed by Makio Hasuike for Seccose in 1999. The clear glass top sits over a sharply engineered aluminum structure, giving the table the light, architectural quality that defines the design.
The table is paired here with six coordinating chairs in warm molded wood and slender metal frames. Together, the set balances crisp industrial geometry with a softer natural material, making it especially strong in a modernist or postmodern room that needs both structure and warmth.
We'd keep the rest of the dining room restrained and let the table base remain visible rather than crowding it with heavy surrounding furniture. The result feels polished, graphic, and unmistakably late-20th-century Italian.
