A round top and a second tier give this vintage wood end table two distinct jobs: a place for the lamp you use every evening and a place for the books that never quite make it back to the shelf. Its circular form breaks up the straight lines of seating and casegoods, while the wood brings a more grounded note.
We'd use it in place of a boxy nightstand, with a reading lamp above and a small stack of art books below. Beside an angular seating, the rounded outline creates a different rhythm. An uncomplicated vintage piece whose appeal is as much about daily use as display.
