DESCRIPTION
Antique Wood Drop-Leaf Dining Table
An antique wood dining table with a rich brown palette, made interesting by a drop-leaf design rather than a fixed expanse of tabletop. The folding format gives this traditional piece a changing profile, with a smaller footprint when the leaves are lowered and more surface when they are raised. It is old furniture with an everyday purpose, not a dining room reserved for special occasions.
Pair it with painted chairs and a patterned tablecloth for a relaxed, collected setting, or leave the wood uncovered and use crisp white tableware. We like the contrast of a practical antique table with more contemporary seating: the room gets warmth and character without feeling like a reproduction of another era.
