Vintage Hollywood Regency Gilded & Painted Wood End Table
Gilded and painted wood gives this vintage Hollywood Regency end table its dressed-up character. Rather than celebrating bare wood grain, the finish makes the furniture itself a decorative element, bringing a touch of old-Hollywood glamour to an everyday side table. It's an expressive alternative to another plain wood accent, with the warmth of gilding at the center of its appeal.
Let it be the embellished note beside a simple linen sofa or a deep-colored upholstered chair. We'd keep the surface spare with a ceramic vessel or a small stack of books, allowing the painted and gilded finish to hold its own. Mixed with contemporary art and relaxed textiles, it adds a little ceremony without making the room feel formal.
